The car looks so much better now than when it was as the brochure car. I like it a lot. Do you mind if I copy all your pictures of the restoration process?

Thanks!
Go ahead. That is what they are here for :) Thanks for the comments!

Winterpark PD- Misc Items
Just received today some great items from the Winterpark PD and the former officer assigned to "Unit 117".
The box included::D * (1) Padded Duty sweater w/ elbow patches and badge holder. * (3) WPD baseball caps * (1) WPD Tennis Visor * (1) WPD Black t-shirt w. "POLICE" on the back and WPD on the front. * (1) WPD Sweatshirt w/ logo on chest. * (3) WPD pathes. These will be great items for car shows. I hope all of you are doing well. |
I am down in Orlando on business this week and had dinner in Winter Park last night. It looks like the police cars still have the same or similar markings on them as yours. Sorry, no pics. Lots of $$$ in that town. It would be cool to have a picture of your car cruising the cobblestone paved Park Ave.

Winterpark PD
That is what I have heard....lots of $$$ down there as it is predominantly a retirment community. That confirms the municipality has disposable income, e.g. switching the SSP's stock rear end gears to 3.55's as one example.
There were probably many high speed pursuits for the "Geritol" thefts at the local Walgreens Pharmacy.:D http://www.geritol.com/ Thanks for the feedback! |
Trunk Decal
1 Attachment(s)
Attached you will find a picture of the trunk decal that was originally placed by Winter Park PD. I had to have the original graphic company make a special "size" to fit the trunk area. Luckily, the letter outline(s) could still be seen in the clear coat.
This was the last decal I had been waiting to install. |

The car looks fantastic Barry. The so called "Restored" SSPs out there pale in comparison. Great job.

Forgive me for bumping a very old thread, but I was curious about this car. Can a knowledgeable old-timer confirm if the beautiful SSP in this thread is the same one we have in our VIN Project -

Always thought that was such a cool car and I think the signature was from an owner prior to the one doing the winter park configuration.
|
A previous owner had Jack Rousch sign the roof of his 1988 CHP EVOC car...thank goodness the next owner had the excellent insight to wipe it right off of there! (No offense Jack.)
