No Kidding!
I don't know if you remember the last car show i displayed the ssp at a kid came over to me and asked if this was the car on Jay Leno's Garage I guess it has to be on TV or a movie before it's recognized today. That is not a bad thing if a credible car person explains things about a car that you own or owned. (and on TV too!) I think that the person or persons that created that book were more impressed with flair then with function. What! a Mustang Police car (a tool) we will not have any of that! I appreciate the fact that this site and people like yourself take the time and effort to acknowledge these cars by documenting their existence. ![]()

people write books to make money and pretend they are knowledgable about a topic. They write what they hope will sell, as their focus is either money or attention to themselves in most circumstances.
While attention to the SSP Mustang can be a good thing it can also be a bad thing. Over the past 17 years of collecting these cars I have learned that not everyone has the common sense needed to own one and project a positive image. I am glad the SSP mustang is not included in many books. It helps keep the idiots from deciding they want one to fill with LED lights and sireens.....
