Well part of it was escorted by Speedway police but I don't recall using lights. Another part of it was Indianapolis PD escorted with lights. As for turnout it seemed pretty good to me considering we're talking about old police cars. We had a large SSP turnout, which is good and yes most (if not all actually) are members here and I suppose .org too. For my experience this doesn't seem to be the largest niche of collector car hobby so it's not going to be a hundred car event.

I thought this was the same event. I remember seeing pictures posted where it was mostly SSP cars, and all the excitement about the light parade etc. I doubt I will attend again this year especially with the price of fuel being what it is. Hope everyone has a good time though.

On another note I keep forgetting to post up those letters for you. I will do that soon.

I think we did all have a good time so would be great if you have a chance to attend. Hopefully the turn out will be good. You mention the gas prices and I could see that affecting the turn out more this year. I'll have a pretty good distance roundtrip from here. Can't recall what prices were a year ago but guessing not as high as it will be this year. It was a good time with all the different tours lined up and so forth.

Thanks for the mention on the letters. Am hoping to get a request off to the MSP before the Spring gets into full swing. Thank you.

Mike,

Just an FYI...since you are also a member of CopCar.com, you might want to do a little research on the PCOOA over there. They are not associated with the PCOOA, despite what's listed on the PCOOA website, and I believe that the founder of that club has been banned from CC.com as well.

We had a large showing of SSP's with members from both sites and one that is not a member of either. The show field was about a 50/50 split between SSP's and various other LE vehicles.

Here are a couple pics from the show.

I was thinking the turnout was pretty lame. 11 SSP cars and about 14 other vehicles if I read the article correctly. The local cruise in every Friday where I work brings in about 200 cars. Much cheaper to attend that and way more cars.

I had also heard he was banned, but have never met him. If memory serves me right he created a class and an award for almost everyone that showed up. All that matters is everyone had a good time though, that is what it is all about.

My only reason for mentioning it was the flyer itself mentioning "discredit to the hobby", and award for "best light show", which I remember from previous discussions here about that particular event. You need to know the history, which isn't on this site.

I don't know the guy personally, but it's out there for those who are interested in reading it.
