Default Rebuilding Original Motor vs Swapping Long Blocks

I am restoring a 1993 SSP. The motor is out and it will be a few months to rebuild it. Is it worth the extra expense to keep the original motor in the car or will swapping in a crate motor decrease the value? Thans

For me, I would need to know more about your SSP, extent to which the history of the specific car is documented and how you intend to restore and use it.

1992 Michigan State Police SSP Mustang #5114
1993 Wisconsin State Patrol SSP Mustang
1993 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP Mustang P641

the last 6 of the vin should be stamped on the top in the rear of the original block. Having the original block is very important to a lot of people. Especially those that are storing a car and wanting it original.

for the first time since 1998 there is only two left:

1984 Oregon SP unmarked
1986 Idaho SP
