Ok even if you removed all the equipment I still think that car may be worth the 13k if the body paint and mechanicals are 100% like it seems to be.

Well, somebody buy it and then we'll all find out.

No one will buy it in Conn. unless it is a lot less or he certifies safety and emissions as a condition of sale. In other states you may not need safety and emissions so it would be easier to sell out of state. Here that car would be a lawn ornament. When someone asks you "Will it pass these tests for Conn?" and the answer is "It Should" you are not credible. I would have been happy to buy the car if the seller had given me a straight answer.Cisco

Charlie,

Sounds pretty simple to me. Make an offer continguent upon the seller obtaining a valid smog and safety certificate that will allow you to register the car. We also must pass a smog test in Nashville before registering a vehicle 1975 and newer. Very easy for the dealer or individual for that matter to take the car to have it tested. If you are willing to buy the car, No Pass, No Pay! Simple enough.

Tennessee has no safety test so as long as you have the money, a smog certificate and a title, you are good to go! State and city governments make more money off tickets for safety violations than they would with a yearly safety check so why ruin a good income stream for the state, counties and cities.

Maybe a better question would be, "When was the last time this car passed an emissions inspection or has it ever passed an inspection in Conneticut?"

Looks like it ended at $10,302, reserve not met.

Someone pointed out that the car is missing the bucktags. I missed that when I looked at the auction.

$10K is good money for it, IMO. I guess we'll see another relist.
