I think he's referring to the instrument cluster surrounds and steering wheels on the '92-'93 cars. All red or all blue, unlike the black that went with grey (and other colors, pre-'92).

Exactly. Monochromatic color throughout. Not a fan. When I saw what I thought was titanium all over, it was one of those moments where I couldn't believe I had never even heard of that combo.
Not all 92-93 red and blue came like that though. Was it an option to get the color matched steering wheel/shroud/dash? |

According to the 1992 Color & Trim Selections book, the blue and red interiors had a mono-tone dash and steering wheel/surround and the grey interior was still two-tone. The 1991 book showed all three being two-tone. I have not seen a 1993 book yet.
