Looks great Hector! A Colorado car is a nice find! There's one by me, but a previous owner sadly removed its SSP identity to the point that it'll never be restored (but it'll blaze the 1/4 mile in 10seconds).

But I digress. Congrats on the new SSP! Bringing a new one home is an exciting time, so enjoy yourself.

Hector, can you compare that number to any in-service shot(s) of other CSP cars that show their tag? I'd say the chances are pretty good that's the right number.

I noticed the 68k mileage amount. Do you know at what miles they ended the in-service life of this Mustang? Can you tell whether that document was from when the State Police still owned it or after it went to a civilian owner?

The link below will allow you to look up varoius State Trooper license plates.

Is the in-service picture you had on Photobucket that actual car or just an example of a CO one in-service? I don't know much about the Colorado cars but didn't notice a plate number like your document on the link above. Not sure if they had unmarked cars or not and whether would have had diff't license plate configuration.

My 90 CSP was not put into service till Feb 1992 and was sold in 1995 with 83k miles.

Hector,

That's probably the first plate that was on the car after it sold at auction. Your in-service plate was the car's unit number.

Guys , Upon further document reading i answered my own question on the plate #.. the lic plate # i posted earlier is after auction ! sorry .
looks like the State last smoged the car i 91 at 90k miles and then went to auction.

As far as what plate belongs on the car and what it looked like this is what i found on statetrooperplates for a mustang up to 1989.
The above in service plate pic may of been up to a 93 mustang ..???

the #10 prefix -designation of the Colorado Dept Of Highways the last digits were the Unit # as stated by Mike ..
thanks guys . this history stuff is fun . the above plate i found on CL in Colorado a week ago and purchased it .
