i had the same issue with that low mile 92 i had. the guy i bought it from took the low mile struts out for aftermarkets. when we put everything back to oem, the original struts went back in. they must have been stored too long sideways and went bad.
i can't even begin to tell you how rock hard my front suspension was....totally aweful. new struts made it feel like new again.
