Jim, that is consistent with what I found in the documentation supplied to me by the seller of the 1985 CHP Mustang in New Orleans. Here is an Special Equipment Parts List which we discussed here.






In the upper right hand corner, it says there were 154 cars in DSO 72-0406, but there were 155 cars ordered by the CHP in 1985. So the missing car was likely the pilot car for the new model year.
