It is from a buddy of mine down in Pearland. He has worked on my car few times. I think he is a little pricey but I woulded have to go through the hassle of shipping.

I have an NOS H-pipe with cats sitting in my garage rafters awaiting the future day I'll need it to pass smog. Probably not a bad idea for all with these cars and still subject to smog testing to pick one up and keep it in reserve. Also not a bad idea for originality sake too.

I have a couple of them on the shelf. I think I paid 250.00 for the last one and carried it away....

I hear ya, I need the flow tube between the h pipe and muffler on pass. side too, was thinking about just saying the heck w/ it and throwing in Flowmasters and being done with it..

NoDrama43 04-09-2008 02:26 PM

is it available from your local Ford dealer? You might want to check before using blowmasters

NAPA stocks it. Part number 42835 "Ext Pipe". List $24.20, sells $15.49 if your polite to the counter person.;) It is made by Walker Exhaust and it's a good piece for a reasonable price. They actually make the entire system from the cats to the stainless tail pipes. Good luck with it.

EXHAUST/CATS

HI MEN. I HAD A RECENT NO PASSING SMOG ISSUE. OLD FACTORY CATS WENT B/O. I JUST REPLACED THE CATS WITH MAGNAFLOW HI FLOW CATS. ITS 2 BIG ONES INSTEAD OF THE 4 LITTLE ONES. SIPPOSE TO BE BETTER PERFORMANCE. NOT ORIGINAL BUT UNLESS U SPEND TIME ON UR KNEES WHEN U CK OUT CARS AT A SHOW...ITS A NIIIICE. THANKS....R

have a similar unit on my '86 Capri, since NY is still a high emissions state, and cars before OBDII have to go on a dyno for inspections, but some of our issues have been with flow tubes, and muffler issues...
