Congrats. Wow, just in time so it can get hunkered own...looks like you're about to get hammered....another 12" of snow might be on the good side of some of the predictions I've been seeing for New England.

My paint guy came to look at NHP friday put battery in fired right up. Backed it out 3 flat tires and it over heated from bad fix on that not stock radiator. But better to find out when it was 15 degrees out rather than 90. Then attempted to get it back in garage and got stuck in snow. Have pictures but won't let me load them again i bet 1st time it's been stuck in snow.

Not looking good for paint anytime soon all paint guys i know are booked tganks to the million snow storms we had. Money tight also thanks to the storms also, bonus not looking good sales weren't close to plan. 😠

nighthawk756 03-09-2015 02:37 PM

That's ok though. Keep that puppy stored up until the paint guys are ready then get started on the resto. That way you'll have time to save up and not feel pressured to do it immediately.:2thumbs:

I wanted to let everybody know i found official paperwork that confirms what we thought about how many 85/86 NHP's there were. Shows 13 for 85 and 86. We know that 3 were bought in 85 with federal funds so looks like 10 is correct number for 86. Will try to post it up.

28HopUp 05-26-2015 10:29 AM

That is GREAT to hear! Here is the batch of 1986 VINs for the NHP -

1FABP26M1GF206550
1FABP26M3GF206551
1FABP26M5GF206552
1FABP26M7GF206553 - Nevada Highway Patrol
1FABP26M9GF206554
1FABP26M0GF206555
1FABP26M2GF206556
1FABP26M4GF206557
1FABP26M6GF206558
1FABP26M8GF206559
-----------10-----------

Assuming that this new documentation does not include individual VINs, we could order two Marti Reports for the first and last VINs and lock in the range of all ten cars!

John, THANK YOU for the file. I replied to your email. If we have permission to publish the entire 1985-1986 NHP Annual Report, then I will load it on our server. If needed, I can print the report, redact it as much as considered necessary, and create a new PDF file for the site. Attached is an enlarged version of the page you attached.

86 NHP in need of new care taker

Anybody here interested in taking over the restoration of this rare 1 i am willing to take my loss for the right person to buy it and finish it the way it should be. Any interest email xxtrpr@yahoo.com

28HopUp 09-02-2015 09:57 AM

Sorry to hear you are putting it up for sale. If a guy in Florida contacts you and says he wants to put it in a museum, then you may want to to tell him to "piss off". (link)
