I think he gently sanded the blue down.

Here's a 93 NCSHP unit that turned up at Foxtoberfest this year. It took a while to post in the Project because the photos were formatting at 90 degrees off, and it is a PITA to fix those.

You may recognize some folks/cars in the background of the last photo. ;)

1982 CHP #0567

Additional photos were posted when this 1982 CHP car was listed on Bring-A-Trailer. Worth noting are the two photos of the 2-page "Ford" invoice.

I have not seen this document before.

1989 RCMP / CONSTABLE Car

This 1989 RCMP unit has been floating around online for some time, but I was just now able to add it with photos for our Project -

It was repainted for use as a CONSTABLE vehicle in Texas, but you can still see the original blue under the hood.

What is the "bumper height adjustment" I see on these Monroney labels?

I have not seen that before. I hope someone else can chime in...

That’s an interesting question about that Window Sticker “Bumper Height Adjustment”…

I wouldn’t think there would be any such adjustment on a LX notchback because they didn’t really sit low to begin with back then, especially the older pre-85 urethane nose cones.

I’m only guessing/wondering if that was applicable to the GT due to its front bumper design and the ground effect design and was a default line item on the window stickers? Maybe they needed to do something with the GT in order to load it on a transport to avoid damages?

Other than that wild guess, I too would like to know what it means…

Well, I've only seen that listed on Eminger invoices and now this window sticker, on SSPs. I haven't noticed it on non-SSP cars.

(from March 2014) Somebody recently asked me what the breakdown was by year in terms of documented SSP's for our VIN Project. So here is the list by year as it stands today, which includes a few cars we need to create pages for:

.1982. 15
.1983. 07
.1984. 14
.1985. 25
.1986. 26
.1987. 17
.1988. 23
.1989. 22
.1990. 12
.1991. 20
.1992. 27
.1993. 38
---------
total 246

So that makes 87 four-eyed SSP's, and 159 aero SSP's as of today. That's about a 2:1 ratio.

That was 12 years ago. Time has flown by! Here are the current totals by year -

1982 --- 30 *
1983 --- 53
1984 -- 114
1985 -- 278
1986 -- 344
1987 -- 455
1988 -- 449
1989 -- 611
1990 -- 467
1991 -- 248
1992 -- 331
1993 -- 530
------------
. . . 3,910 SSP Mustangs confirmed

* - Since we know that the 394 units grouped together in 1982 are all SSP notchback Mustangs built for the CHP, the overall total really is over 4K SSP Mustangs that are confirmed in the Project. Very cool!
