Another generation of SSP lovers?
A local restaurant hosts 2 free shows per month from May through August and I attended last nights show with the SSP. The show goes from 7-9 and there were about 60 cars there last night. The manager of the restaurant hands out raffle tickets for a drawing at the end of the show (items to be won range from golf balls to table umbrellas, to t-shirts and car care products). Each show he also raffles off a couple of plaques with a random car photo from a previous show. For the last show of the season he had plaques to be given to the owners of cars that his 2 grandson's liked best. The kids are 3 and 1. The 3 year-old loves Mustangs, but he picked a 67 Chevy Impala convertible. The one year old (like most 1-year olds) likes colorful lights (his mother had requested that I run the lights for her kids to see when they were checking out all the cars to pick from) and so (yes, you guessed it) my SSP was chosen as "Issac's Choice" for 2011! Quite the unique plaque for the trophy wall in the garage (and hope for another generation of SSP lovers).

Nice! Running our lights at a show for the kids is a positive thing for our hobby.

Thats great! One time when I went on a ride along with my dad(he's a sheriff civil deputy), we went to one house and this woman had a couple kids. My dad gave them stickers and then asked if they wanted to see the lights. Of couse they said yes so my dad flipped them on. They too like flashy lights lol
