Default 1982 CHP radio stuff

spent about four hours today dissasembling two CHP micor heads, both with a couple of flaws, and then building one to use in the car. This one turned out pretty nice. Getting the CHP sticker off and then back on was like installing those original vitachrome door decals a couple of years ago. It all turned out ok though. I need to find an NOS old style (3 phillips screws) motorola mic now to put the double PTT stuff in so that I have a nicer mic. This one in the pic has a little yellowing going on. Thanks to Evil and Matt B for selling me the stuff !!

That control head sure looks sweet! I took a more pristine and widely available non-CHP Moto mic apart and switched the PTT button from a "fried" CHP mic to it for my car too.
