Default 0366 eats another fuel pump

I finally have a paint guy lined up and was planning the strip down of the car today. I haven't run it in a while and it is still sitting on the trailer(as a trailer anti theft device), so I filled the float bowl and fired it up. After warming up, I notice a puddle on the trailer and smell it, friggin gas. I stick my head in the wheel well, and sure enough fuel is streaming out of the fuel pump, I can't see exactly where, so I shut it down and it slowed significantly after it stopped running. This is, I think, the fifth pump since I had the car, and this one was a Bosch. Are these things just that crappy? It worked, so I have to be on the right side of the eccentric. Any suggestions on the next brand I try?

I haven't had any problems with mine...only ever had to change the one in my old '85 after it started filling up the block with gas. Where exactly is it coming from?
