Default 1989 WSP SSP in Bellevue, WA - $3K

Not a bad price - but hacked up and on it's way to being a track car.

Former Washington State Patrol Mustang (SSP) for sale. It has 161,000 miles and a few minor dings that the State Patrol threw in for free and it needs paint and carpet. The original drivers seat is gone and there is a Corbeau Forza in there now that has seen better days but still works. It did have air conditioning but that was removed along with the stereo and speakers. It was going to be a track day car but never got around to it. It has some surface rust on the deck lid. The springs for the deck lid were removed to facilitate the installation of the roll cage. This year it didn’t pass emissions so it had to get a waiver but it is currently tabbed. This car is fast, handles extremely well, and easily spins the tires. It is a blast to drive. I would not hesitate to drive it daily if it had a new seat.
These SSP’s are getting harder to find and this is one of 34 purchased by the State Patrol in 89. I have seen wrecked and non-running SSP’s sell for over $3,500. The reason that I am selling is because of multiple left ankle surgeries and a manual transmission don‘t play well together and to put an automatic in this car would take the fun out of it. Plus I recently moved and had to downsize to a two car garage. The mustang is now parked outside but does have a car-cover.
The car is located in Bellevue and you are welcome to come check it out and drive it but I will not send loads of pictures as I think that they are a waste of everyone’s time. No trades needed and please no scams. If you want to check it out email me with contact information and I will get back to you. Thanks, Jeff

My brother had a 1984 RX-7 that came with those. He wrecked the car and sold it off as scrap...wish I would have saved them. That WSP car is only the second non-race car I have seen with them.

My friend had that setup in a crown vic - was actually pretty cool - you could see everything!

As for the car, I think I need to stop at 4 SSPs. Only way I would add another is if another PCSD came along. Or...maybe a CHP. Being I have twin 87 WSPs - they kind of all the same (including 89).
