Default I drive the new 5.0

These are being held back due to a quality issue but one got thru to New London. It is a mustang with manners, something Im not used too. Rock solid, top quality, but has an ugly butt. Im waiting for the 2012 Boss 302 in hopes they redo its butt. If thats not an issue to you then mechanically you will be impressed. This just had 3.73's and Brembo brakes which keeps it down to 32 K. A bargin in performance for sure

Lots of diff't quality issues from what I have heard although I don't know anything specific re: the issues themselves (big or small don't know)...a co-worker of mine is waiting of his to arrive (Kona Blue 5.0 ragtop). No date of release on his vehicle and he was supposed to have had it by now. People who have ordered after him are getting their 5.0's quicker than he and those stuck waiting. I believe the fixes are in place, they just have to fix all the ones that came off the line before fixes were in place.

Hadn't heard about the problems, but I haven't really been looking a whole lot at them. My plan was to sell my Bullitt and get one of my cars finished before buying anything else, but I'm seriously considering ordering one.

My girlfriend and I took a 2011 GT coupe with the 6-sp manual for a pretty good test drive two weeks ago. While the car had plenty of pick up and the trans was slick shifting, we both concluded that my Bullitt is just a more satisfying driver overall. There's also a big sticker jump on these new 5.0s...ouch. But it will be interesting to see how the next special edition based on them turns out.

That's an interesting conclusion. I've read several magazines that put the new 5.0 heads and shoulders above all the current competition including the Camaro SS and Challenger SRT8. What do you like better about your Bullitt that makes it a more satisfying drive?

My Bullitt handled, rode and sounded better than the GT we drove. It also has much better seats and steering wheel. It's a total driving experience thing...the Bullitt is a very balanced Mustang which ro me equates to much more fun than sheer acceleration. Oh yeah, I've driven both those others too and readily came to the same conclusion for the same reasons.
