Questions from a newbie
Is it hard to find a SSP Mustang ? marked/non marked ?
Is it credible to built a SSP from a conventional Mustang ? What budget for the purchase ? for the resto ? Can we find easily the accessories ? Thanking you

The restoration is only dictated by how complete and attention to detail you are with every piece of the restoration. You could find one already restored but you will pay a premium for it. There are many cars out there that are cloans of SSP's now but only a true SSP will bring any $$$ in the future and also you would be able to say this is a TRUE SSP that has seen service on the streets of ???????... Since you're going to have to import a mustang into France and pay major shipping fees. I would definitely buy a real SSP instead of a regular coupe. Buying a restored one will cost you more money up-front. But it may be cheaper in the long run. There are plenty of fox body parts around, but the shipping cost of nit-picky parts to France, could make it unfeasible. If you have bought parts from the US, you know what to expect.
Also there are a few restored SSP's around. But not all of them are 100% correct. Most of the time it's lack of information and sometimes just not caring. It really depends on your preference. The '85 CHP Matt has for sale is not completely restored, but the police equipment is included. That is another thing that is a pain to find. You will have to put some time into it but it's good for the money. http://www.specialservicemustang.net...read.php?t=901 |

thanks. Predator20, with 1€ for 1.40US$ the deal is now very interesting ! When I buy parts from the US all the fees are balanced by the rate of exchange ... What I love in the restoration is precisely to do or redo things, and more precisely the minor details... Andy: nice bill !
