Good find....Car # 2978 the article said it was one of 5 in the Newhall area of Southern California..looks like a 1987...

LOLOL That is my old graveyard parter, Steve Foster. He did that shoot when we worked the Westminster area.
He is the one I went to Vegas with in April 2011 in 2 old 69 polara patrol cars. We were graveyard partners and had a blast together. He has SEVERAL cars. Plane hanger he keeps them in. He was asked to drive the CHP mustang for that article. LOL I'll have to tell him about that. Too bad you guys didn't buy it. I could have him sign it for you. He was just in Motor Trend Classic,( fall 2011 issue ) front cover and article inside on the 1970 Chellenger used in the movie Vanishing point with actor Barry Newman. Steve owns that car used in the movie. Has original plates for it also. crazy, pretty cool ! john

Just talked to Steve, That was a Road and track magazine, shot around 1989 or 1990, he couldn't remember exact year.
He's sending me the copy. I'll make copies for those that want one. John

The best I could find, looks like it was in a Road and Track Special Series. 1988 - "Camaro vs Mustang",but I could not find it on the web.
I would like a copy......
