Breaking Into A Garage In Only 6 Seconds
I saw this posted on www.garagejournal.com, and thought it was worth mentioning here -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMz1tXBVT1s No, this isn't a How-To, but is offered up to alert homeowners of a possible weakness in their home security. One of the fixes is to get a nylon zip-tie and secure the emergency release (the latch itself, not the cord).

Thanks for posting that.....probably easier on that type of door since he could see in, but definitely something to fix.

Going to fix mine right now. If were just finding out about this, I'm sure the dirtbags have been doing it a long time already.
Thanks for posting...

I purposely deleted all windows from my garage doors. I also have an alarm system on everything so if they do get in the siren starts wailing in 30 seconds. Even with that i will be securing my latches. excellent thread !

I like that building underneath the ground for more garage space w/the Lambos in the one YouTube video. I'm envious of something like that!

I've got alarm sensors on my garage doors. I've heard that even without windows, they can still break in. They shove the top panel in far enough to crawl up, in, and over. I've seen evidence of this at an old, closed down Chevy dealership.
