Default Santa Clara ssp

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum. Just a few questions...I'm looking at possibly purchasing a Santa Clara DA ssp to restore. In talking with the owner, it doesn't appear that this car has any indications of ever having much equipment installed. No holes in dash or rear tray for radio or lights. Not even the red round flip down interior light. Was evidently a pool car. Is it possible this car was just bare bones...no wig wags either? Also, are there common problems with the aod transmissions to look for? Some say that agencies had problems with these versus the t5.

Welcome to the forum.

Check the TV cable bushing...there was a redesigned bushing (bronze or other metal) that came out to due to the originals (nylon) failing, thus causing the transmission to fail quickly.

The Santa Clara DA's cars didn't see much "regular" LE work....alot of them out there in really nice shape.

Good luck.
