Thumbs up CSP found these guys....

A member here sent me the YouTube link to these guys last week. Basically, police-impersonators who "assist" stranded motorists. These guys were wearing official-looking clothing and one guy is seen in the video wearing a tactical-thigh holster (can't tell what, if anything, is in there).

Here is the link to the vid (now removed from YouTube and posted on google vid):

The news story:

Glad to see that they were tracked down.

I'm glad to hear they were not up to something bad but they should have known better then go beyond the scope of their legal duties. They should have just help with their hazard lights but it seems like they were really into the emergency lights for effect. While their intension was good their judgment was really poor.

This also brings up a good point for all of you at these forums that are not Law Enforcement Officers. Please do not turn on the lights of your SSP while to or from a show, just to help someone that may be stranded. Even if it is your own car that is down.

Those guys are mental midgets. Even when I was on the job, the last place I ever wanted to stop was on the stinkin freeway. One of them will end up getting run over. As for the video, it reminded me of an arsonist who films the fire he set and watches it. Wackos all the way.

Very strange, sounds like rejected from the Police academy.
