Default 1993 Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office

Bobby bird-dogged a guy on FB to post up photos of his wrecked 1993 Calypso Green SSP. It turns out the car belonged to Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office. Marcos had sent me a photo last year of the VIN label in the USB drive full of pics, but now we have a picture of the buck tags to confirm it as a SSP -

It is in a group of 10 consecutive VINs, with this one being the first SSP identified.
I'm not sure what the new owner has planned for it.

Good to hear, Bobby!

Here's one sent into us by Jonathon, which he found on CL -

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4909366813.html

Attached is a PDF copy of the listing for PF194596. We have in our "Very Pending" some photos of PF194594, which had been sent in last year by Marcos. PF194594 lacks SSP documentation, so it has not been included in the VIN Project yet. But the car sent in by Jonathon shows the SSP manual, so it is 99% likely to be a SSP -

Default Updated a 1988 GSP page

Booby forwarded along some pictures taken by Gregg a while back of a 1988 GSP which was already in our Project. The new photos were added at the top of its page -

Default We now have 2 Jefferson County SSPs

Our new member, popostang, sent over some pictures of his new SSP, a 1987 Jefferson County car. Here is the new page for this SSP -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info230968.htm

...and here is the page for the next sequential VIN in that batch of two cars that we had in our Project (which is also a Jefferson County car) -

The seller of this 1988 Blue Cross / Blue Shield (OSP-ordered) car...

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...ead.php?t=5952

...sent me the Special Equipment Parts List he has as part of the documentation on the car. It turns out that there were 59 SSP Mustangs ordered under that DSO, where some went to Saleen, some went to the OSP, and some were sold retail. The numbers as I understand them do not total up to 59 units, so I wonder where the other cars ended up?

If you take away the first ten in the consecutive group that 74-0005 is in, that leaves 59. The first of those 59 is the first Saleen, and while we don't know what that DSO is we do know that some of the other Saleens are 74-0005, and the 59th is also 74-0005. So could the 59 be from that first Saleen all the way through the very last in that group of 69?

Given the circumstances, I think that's a fair assertion to make. I think we have enough to claim that the last 59 cars in that batch are all DSO #74-0005. Or do you think we should order a Marti Report for that first Saleen VIN just to be safe?

At a minimum, I think it is safe to say that the VINs in between JF172220 and JF172275 are all part of DSO #74-0005. Those two VINs are confirmed as being in that DSO, so the Special Equipment Parts List can be used to confirm the cars in between. Here is a page I made using that information -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info172265.htm

I worded the header that way (Agency Usage is Unconfirmed) since we do not know whether it was used in-service or not. Then there is a notation under the picture. Does that page look OK?
