Default CHP #3035 Code 3 Ready

I picked up my car this morning from the radio shop after they finished hooking up all the equipment. Everything works great, this little rig is now fully code 3 functional and man, is that FedSig siren ever L-O-U-D!

I've got working wig-wags, left red and clear right spots (manual and remote control), all the deck lights, siren (with horn ring control) and PA, map light, shotgun lock and scanner.

So here's the news on the rear deck lights. The tech followed the "1984 Mustang And Ford Crown Victoria Wiring Diagram" that was obtained from the CHP and has been discussed here. After some trial and error, it was determined that the blue deck light wire need to be routed directly to the flasher (dotted line on the diagram) and not to the back of the CC*1 (solid diagram line). Also, the #550 flasher was not capable of handling the load and a #537 flasher had to be utilized (as noted on the diagram for use on "early models"). Once hooked up as so, the result is...(drum roll please):

CC*1 "REAR" Switch Position / Light Pattern

Down / All lights off
Middle ("AMB") / Amber and Blue Alternate Flash
Up ("RED/360") / Red and Blue Alternate Flash

That's what happens and that answers all the questions on that subject! I'll try to get a video with sound done and posted up on the web so everybody can see and hear the car now.

Awesome!

OK, until I can pull everything together for a real lights & siren video, I put these quickies up for everybody's viewing pleasure:
