Thumbs down $50 for an air box!?

Called this one auto salvage yard I've delt with in the past. I knew they had a foxbody GT hatch in the yard. I'm looking for a stock air box and air tube to the MAS. They had it. They wanted $50 for the darn thing! A little much don't you think? I would have paid $30.

I found a guy who was willing to part with said air box for $30. Also came with the first tube leading to the MAS. Although, thinking back, I think I have that part. Just was missing the box.

Got it. But upon closer inspection, while cleaning it, I noticed that it was missing the two clips on either side. May have to see if I can talk the junk yard out of two clips for a few bucks.

Went back to the yard today to pull the two rubber isolators holding the air box onto the inner fenderwell. It didn't go well. The studs were pretty rusted in there. The rubber split on the one I was working on getting out. I did walk out with the air box though. It was priced at $50 because it had a K&N air filter in it! I got the whole thing, air box and filter for $42. A new K&N panel air filter costs $50! Oh, and this air box has all of its clips, unlike the one I bought a week ago for $30.

Default Rubber gromets

You can still purchase the rubber grommets/studs from Ford I believe. I had to buy them also.

Nice to know. I'd hate to order them from LRS and pay the $14.95 shipping for such a small part. That would double the cost of them! I'll check with my local Ford dealer.
