All blue
83 used at Garage and Gov. Mansion.
87 assigned to post 35 Jekyll Island also.
The 1983 is actually 1986.

T = 2.9L V6 (new for 1986)
G = 1986 model year

Also, first year for Bronco II was 1984.

Can you read the whole VIN? This is the one that I reconstructed for you, right?

Correct first 4 letters are obscured. These documents are hand written in pen and the first couple digits of this Vin somehow got wet/smeared...

The part that is not smeared that you can read, did I reconstruct it correctly?

Not sure...
All that's legible is
U14GLL22970

In that order. I was looking for the body codes 12U and 14U and found this partial.

U14 is Bronco II 4WD.
G is definitely 1986.

I though the second L (first character of the CUN) was high but it depends on how many Fords were made at that assembly plant (1st L = Wayne, MI assembly plant) that year and what the Bronco II started with. I believe all utility vehicle, truck, and van CUNs start with a letter and then have five numbers, whereas cars have six numbers.

Can you make out the engine and the check digit? They are between the U14 and the G, i.e. U14__GLL22970.
