I talked to the owner of the SSP on Sunday and he is selecting the photos (he took over 300 photos) and is writing the copy for the eBay auction this week. I will post the link to the auction when he starts it. It should be interesting to see where it goes in today's market.

I would rather have an SSP that was in service and used for police work. But that is just my personal preference.

Jim, I'm with you. Even after riding in it last week, I would not trade it straight up for my 105k mile Minnesota State Patrol SSP. I really enjoy the in-service history of a SSP, compared to a virgin as pure as this one. To each his own though, I'm sure someone will enjoy owning this rare example. I thought ground straps were one of the SSP standard features (vs. optional), yet this one has none. The state of MN went as far as adding them to the hood bumpers on mine.

Its not a real SSP in use but that opens the door for using the car as a daily and is a way to have one for the next 20 years without major restoration cost (I think) For a long lasting driver no different than any 93 this can be useful. ,I would do a 5sp conversion (I know that is not pleasing to some) and use it in good weather. Since it has no history I wouldnt feel I was ruining it because no mods are intended for it. In short, a car to enjoy driving, but with no garage I fear I would not be able to keep it in top shape. Damn this is a temptation that I know I should resist but its hard to do so. I feel better now, thanks
