Looks like it's worth every penny of your asking price.

Congrats Jim. I hope it was to someone here, that is a nice car. Let me have the frequency range marked on the antenna and I can look it up for you.

Pretty sure this is what you're looking for:

http://www.antenna.com/models_detail...4310&styleid=6

Antenna Specialists ASP553 - 3dB Gain, Rooftop Mount VHF Vehicular Antenna

They're doing the coils in black these days but that could be changed out to match the older style.

Excellent find Mike...

Glad you got the car sold Jim! Did it go to someone here?

Thanks,
Matt

Be careful on the model # as they have several different ones depending on the hole size in the trunk lid. They had a 3/4" hole size, a 3/8" snap in hole size and they had one which used an adapter to go on a motorola NMO mount which also uses a 3/4" hole size which is what the ASP-553 in the picture uses. The ASPS177 uses a 3/4" hole and the ASP446 uses a 3/8" hole. If it is a low band frequency they have the same selection of hole sizes but the model # of the antenna changes.

Hope this helps
