Default Exhaust suggestions

Looking for suggestions on replacement exhaust for the 1993 MSHP SSP....specifically something that will provide a stock appearance. Thanks!

I believe walker makes a 2 1/4 inch stainless tailpipe. I have used them in the past and have them welded to the muffler to eliminate the clamps. This make a very stock appearing set up. You can also take the heat shields off original mufflers, bead blast and clear them and reband them onto the replacement mufflers to get an even more original look.

NOS exhaust is hard to come by.

I've been looking for the Walker one you mentioned above and have come up empty...also thought they offered a 2 1/4 as well. If anyone has purchased it or happens to have a link I would appreciate posting here. Thank you!

Based on Walker's dealer locator the only auto parts company close to you would be Novi Auto Parts that actually carries Walker exhaust parts. Everyone else is an installer such as Belle Tires and Midas.

Walker's Dynomax brand used to offer the Super Turbo cat back in a 2 1/4 diameter with the polished stainless tips which was as close to the stock appearance/sound as you could get. They have discontinued this kit, but you can still buy it with mild steel tail sections (junk), and get the polished 2 1/4 tail pipes, which they now catalog seperately, they are just not cheap!

Contact Walker by phone as they have a great Customer Service. They can point you in the right direction. Dynomax is the one that had the 2 1/4 Exhaust Pipe. The 2 1/2 is what I have on my car and they look great. I am also using the New Dynomax VT Muffler for the Drone Free at Highway Speed. They do have a nice tone to them when you are coming up to speed but leavel off as you let of the gas.

I have not checked lately but I purchased some primo walker tail pipes for the 82-84 cars a few years back. They were identical to original with the duel chromed/polished tip on the end. The price was very reasonable. They might be carrying something similar for the 86/93 cars also.

I need a complete exhaust system for the 85 Texas car if anyone comes across one. NOS preferred if you happen to have one laying in your attic...

I need to start hitting these major swap meets to find some parts.
