Default New tires on old wheels

My daughter will be getting this car (90 LX 5.0 auto convert) in 4 years (she will be 12 next month), so I let her pick from 3 sets of wheels that I had (Enkei 92 — 16x7, stock 10-holes, or these AR-534 that I bought in 94 for my 86 GT convert). Yesterday I replaced the 17 year old Uniroyal RTT-1 225/50-16 tires (only 10k miles, but as hard as hockey pucks) with new Falken Ziex 512 235/55-16 tires. She also decided to have me add the white decals to the front and rear "MUSTANG" and chose the red 80's vintage radio antenna. We are off to WI for a car show tomorrow with the car and for the occasion I had faux MN collector plates made with "LAURENS". She is excited, and hopefully I'll have a car show buddy for at least a couple more years.

Having a 15yo son who is working with me on his project car (a 98 V6/5spd coupe), I applaud your plans to include your daughter in this project. That is a GREAT car for a young driver (a '90 having a driver's airbag). She is very lucky!

[The wheels look sweet too!]

You are a lucky guy and your daughter is getting a very nice car. My son is 13 and has no intrest in cars. If he was I would be doing the same thing you are doing.

You have my admiration; I have 2 boys and 1 girl; only the little girl shows any interest at all in helping daddy work on cars.......

It's nice to see that interest in the kids. Looks like I'll have to find the interested kid in my nephew, the rest of my family is not that keen on the Copcar hobby in general.
