Default Cash for Clunkers Program

I happen to be looking at an website for salvage vehicles and ran into the section "Cash for Clunkers" to which I was amazed that there was 21 fox body Mustangs that qualified and I thought the group would be interested in 1 of the 21 that was on that list ! Can anyone read the DSO info to see where this car was from ???

Too small to tell. Can you contact the salvage company? Are they selling the car? I thought ALL of the 'cash for clunkers' cars were to be crushed. Since it's online, I assume they are selling it with a salvage title.

True. Crushed, shredded, or sold at salvage auction to one of the "authorized" (on the list) disposal companies to crush or shred. They can still sell parts from them (except for the engine), but not whole cars to the public.

DSO is 76-0112, which is for Denver. Anybody care to guess which agency that might be?

Colorado State Patrol??? If it is, that makes it more of a shame it's getting crushed.

Does anybody with a CarFax account wanna run it to see where it was first used?

There was a salvage yard here near Kansas City that was buying CFC cars from dealers then turning around and selling them complete with running engines. They were profiled on the news awhile back.
