I've been doing more online research and I am considering trying a product by Noico that is 80 mils thick, less than $2 per square foot, and is available on Amazon. There are 200 reviews, 5 stars. It seems like a good compromise between the very low end and the Dynamat, that frankly, is hard to justify the cost. Perhaps if I was an audiophile and needed to build a sound car, but that's not my application.

I really want to do the roof, but I will not do the trunk because I want to keep it original.
