Were CHP car in 1992 Equipped with underhood insulation?

IIRC, Nodrama's '92 CHP didn't (and doesn't).

However, the city I previously worked for ordered 3 SS Mustangs in 1992. These cars all came with the insulation. Whether it was a mistake or variance in what Ford was putting out I have no idea...

Not that I know of but as with everything I'm sure there are exceptions. My 93 Rome car had insulation and it was original.

There is a 4 or 5 page thread on org about the discussion of the underhood insulation. I would link it, but org is down right now, for me anyway.

Mike, I gava you picture of your car the day they were pulling equipment and taking out of service and no insulation then i don't believe it ever had it.
