I haven't had to do a title search myself. Donny's advice to give it a try sounds pretty good to me, especially given the road block you've hit. It can't hurt, anyway. If you do it will be interesting to see what you learn.

I did a title search for my CHP car. It took about three weeks and, if I remember correctly, $7 or something. It showed me the owner whom I bought the car from and the one before him. With the other guys name, I tried to track him down, but no luck. Too much time had passed and his name was too common.

I called West Memphis Ar today to request my title search ....the woman at the DMV had no clue what i wanted !!! In the end she asked for my vin# and mentioned that my car shows up in their system ... I'm lucky i got that much out of her !! she mentioned the privacy act a few times .. ssp91ssp hector |
