Hello All,
My name is Hector , I live in deep south Texas (mcallen ). I purchased my first ssp a couple of months ago and enjoy driving it very much.

I was told it was a Tx car but after running car fax, it comes up that it's an Arkansas car ???? DSO 23
Have not come up with any more info than that .?

Welcome to the site, Hector. Do you have any pics of the door tag you can post?

Your buck tags may verify the DSO or even the agency:

Question

Yes , the buck tags do tell me the DSO ... what i don't get is the fact that the DSO is Memphis and my car fax states Arkansas ...DSO 230098

So .. is my car a Tenn SSP or an Arkansas SSP ???
I noticed in the tech section that Arkansas had maybe 2-3?? cars ????

thankx

All, sorry
my comment on it being a Tenn or Ark car?? was due to my DSO indicating Memphis ....so i figured Tenn.... My car fax indicates Arkansas ..
Well it turns out there is a West Memphis Ark city ...

thanks

Hector,

You can't always go by the DSO with these cars. A few members here have documented, state agency cars with DSO codes from another state altogether.

New Orleans PD had DSO's of 23, so it could be from anywhere south central.

Title searches can be helpful in some states. It depends on the length of time records are kept in that state. Definitely give it a try.

There are still states out there that SSP's have not turned up in private hands. It was only about a month or so ago that a Louisiana SSP showed itself on a SSP related site, and there were 34 originally. Much more than three. Some states are like finding a needle in a haystack. The search for more information may be difficult, but fun for those owners.
