When we get back to Boise the car will have all the marking's on and be ready for
the show season..... you make a good point Roman in that private (not public)
money spent on this project But...people First have to read the sign! My car will be
a California car in Idaho so I am almost sure that people will read what ever is on the
board/display just because of the (what the Hell) is this about factor? This is
probably one of the most fun automotive projects i have done in a while!
and I agree with you as you have said in the past.....these cars look great even not
restored! I like Michael's Sign it's simple.

I like your sign Roman, esp. the last paragraph. I bet that answers a lot of questions before they get asked! I'm going to incorporate something like that on my updated sign for this show season.

1985 SSP Mustang
Former California Highway Patrol Car restored....... as driven (in service)
Special Service Mustangs, also referred to as SSPs
were made from 1982-1993. The California Highway Patrol
started things off in 1982 by requesting a porpoise built Mustang
for testing and evaluation as a Highway Patrol Pursuit car that
was durable, reliable oh and fast enough to catch the speeders The
California Highway Patrol started using these Mustangs in 82 and
continued through to 1993 when Ford Stopped producing the SSP.
Some State and local law enforcement agency's that ordered these cars
Include but not limited to Idaho-Texas- Florida -Arizona- Utah Also
some were used by the Federal Government including but not
limited to the United States Postal Service for under cover postal
inspector use?... For more information on SSP Mustangs and their
complete and accurate history please visit...the the SSP Mustang's

Thanks! I went thru many drafts and prototype signs to get what I have now. I borrowed a little bit from others and I wrote most of it on my own.
This sign is made of that corrugated plastic with black decal letters. Total cost $20.00 at Advance Screen Graphics - Lufkin, Texas.

I think that places like Kinkos can put the words on a board if you bring them a cd with what you want on it. But I am no computer expert or anything...

Bret.....
Kinkos does a dry mount on a hard plastic board for 5 dollars including printing!
thanks for the info! I squeezed it into a clear plastic sleeve that i put in a three ring binder
along with other documentation that i keep with the car for display.
