Default So sad....

It is amazing to see what people come up with for these cars.

I wouldn't buy it, or build it, but I bet it runs pretty good with that LS1. They are great engines. Not a fan of running Chevy motors in Fords.

The LSx engine swaps are somewhat popular, but I do not like them in Mustangs. It would be so much better had they installed a 5.0L Coyote motor. Here's a 2011 weighing 3,900 lbs with driver that is running in the 8's:

Imagine how quick that combination would be in a Fox Mustang weighing 1,000 lbs less!

People put that LS1 motor in everything these days. There are companies dedicated to making it fit different applications, like people that blow up their M3 engines, there is a kit to make an LS1 drop right in.

unfortunately that motor/trans combo in Evolutions car is a full on race motor with thousands upon thousands of dollars in mods and upgrades. To push those cars into the 8's it takes over 1000 HP and that doesn't come cheap. The shop that is doing the work to my Gt500 also has a 5.0 running in the 8's at 150mph. Lots of money in that setup...

I've seen an LSx motor in person. I forget what the guy said, but the motor was like 22k or something, had over 600 hp and had a lower torque #.
I would rather have an LS6 just because they are easier to find and still have around 500+hp.
Putting a chevy motor in a ford is stupid.
