Default Horn Button

Has anyone ever had their horn button go bad? Mine was always sensitive to the touch, but the other day the horn went off twice while parked. Thankfully, it wasn't at 2am. I removed the button from the steering wheel and disconnected the wires for now. I need to look for a replacement but thought I'd ask first since I have never heard about this before. TIA!

Bill, this is usually the problem. My neighbors 88 lx had the same problem.

That is probably the fix I need. Thank you, Bernie!

The horn on my car went off twice in my driveway at 2 and 3am and no the neighbors didn't appreciate it. This was long before (about 2002) that repair kit was available so once I figured out what was causing it I made my own horn button foam replacement piece that worked for many years. Eventually had to buy the kit and so far so good.
