It looks like a scanner to me....I checked a couple of scanner websites, and didn't see an exact match, though.

The switchbox...that's a hard one. Whelen made one like that, only the ones I've seen were in a different configuration. Whelen and Federal both used those same switches in different enclosures, though (made by Carling).

The buttons/knobs etc look the same, but look at the angle on the face, compared to the pic? The 800 above looks way steeper to me.

Default radio

I think what i'm looking for is a transceiver because it has a mic i just have to figure out how to post the pict. it's cream color with black face and black mic i only have veiw from outside pass door but it has the slanted face and you can see atleast one knob. It also seems to have the little rubber feet/pads like the one in the Camaro.Thinking like the Regency Polaris MT5500 or the one in the older CHP cars.

I don't see a mic attached to the equipment mounted on the side of the console, if the thing you are looking for is a two way, Relm/Regency/Wilson sold these:

They look pretty much like the scanners.

OK, just because I have to ask, what is under the X9000 radio head?

Is this an in service picture?
