Default HELP:CHP Mustang light install.

the lights are mounted and the guy is coming to wire them up on monday. I need to know what to use to make the red/blue federal signal lights flash back and forth on the back package shelf. Anyone?

Chris,

I'd invest in a dedicated halogen flasher, like the one below. That way, you could also hook up the T/A and have those patterns tied in with the red/blues, have a few selectable patterns, or have control over the T/A, etc. It certainly can be done cheaper with regular automotive flashers (available at any parts store).

They are a little pricey, but I think they are pretty nice.

I used a standard wig wag flasher. I hooked the four inside yellows and a blue and red to one side. Then the four outside yellows with a blue and a red. I only have one pattern however it looks pretty good when in action.

You can get one of those pretty cheap, too (last one I got was $10).

I'd do that before a straight auto-type flasher.

Jim....we need video of your lights.

Jim

Any chance you can put up a video of your lights like Mike just said? Also where did you mount the flasher?

Hey Chris, until Jim gets back from the show you can look at the pattern he used (the Caprices) in this video:

I talked to him last night about doing one with his digital camera. He should have it posted this evening.

He called me a little while ago from the show....hope to see some pics of that tonight as well.
