Thanks to Andy, we know of a handful of 1985 CHP cars in the Project where the VINs have two digits transposed on their pages. It seems the error was replicated as new SSP pages were added to the Project. We will be correcting these pages this week. I wanted to publicly say "thank you!" to Andy.

Here's a 1993 SSP I found online on a Mustang site -

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info142037.htm

It's a Never-In-Service SSP still owned by the original buyer. Pretty cool!

Great story on this car. But wish he'd gone back to stock on everything.

JerryPHX shared some info about his old 1987 FHP (HF210850):

Quote:
I finally located the VIN on my old 87 FHP car and was checking it on the VIN Project. Noticed there was no additional info, so I can pass this on to you. Don't know if you can use it.
  1. Yes it was a real FHP car. Seen in the VIN bunch.
  2. August 1990: Bought at State Auction in Deland, FL and driven back to St.Louis, Missouri by me. Titled in Missouri. 88,384 miles.
  3. May 1996: Sold to second civilian owner. 153,305 miles.
  4. January 2002: Last known record in Missouri; Auto accident- right front damage.
Here is how it looked when it came out of service -

...and here is how it looked before selling it -

We used the in-serivce photos to create the following page in our Project -

Thanks for sharing, Jerry!

Thank you. I have no regrets about putting my time into the Project. It is much easier to manage at this point. We will continue to add more SSPs as they show up. One day we should have all of the GSP cars confirmed which will get us near the 4K mark. That's not too shabby. I like seeing cars posted for sale when the seller includes a screenshot of our Project. That's all the payment I need.

EDIT: I should add a huge THANK YOU to Mick for his time and effort to establish the VINs for the V8 notchbacks. We would not have been able to get this whole thing started without his contribution.
