Default Came across this one!

Just discovered this SSP here in British Columbia.

VIN 1FACP40E5MF185179 Body Code LX2

I was told it was X-RCMP.... color according to door sticker is Calypso Green

Never saw one this color, just various shades of blue. Currently painted black w/gray interior.

Hope to get a look at it soon. Didn't see it in the VIN Project.

I initially supplied VINs for the VIN Project that were in groups of 3 or more. MF185179 is a single VIN, that is why you do not see it. We add groups of one or two VINs as they are discovered being SSPs. If MF185179 is one it can get added.

A 1991 Calypso SSP would be a cool find for sure and not very many around...keep us posted

Went to check out this Mustang this evening. It's not black, appears to be Dark Shadow Blue, repaint. It has rebuilt status. Front fenders look to have been changed but couldn't determine original color, hood was White. the paper VIN tags were painted over. The only tag visible was drivers side rear fender...different VIN 1FABP40E6KF205142 . This VIN is in a group of 5 listed in VIN Project 1989 Model year, not a '91 as door tag indicates. Could not determine color inside trunk, looked Dark Gray, maybe? Doors were Calypso Green under current paint. This car has power windows, locks & mirrors. Trunk release wiring in glovebox, not under steering column. The 10 hole rims look like they were painted with spray bomb. Also has Certified 220kmh speedo and driver side spotlight and later 2 color ticket/dome light. There are 2 Buck Tags, hard to read the way they are bent, could only read " ROAD ABRASION" on one of them, original staple holding them to rad support. Paint on roof and trunk lid has 'dents" like ball bearings were there when painted. Owner said he could "buff them out"?????
There would not be much paint left! Car is registered as a '91, VIN tag is missing? Exterior plastic parts, outer door belt moldings and 1/4 windows are badly pitted. Lots of rust visible under paint job. Cracks in sheet metal under hood.
It looks pretty......OK....from 15-20 feet away, but when you get closer....
lots of work. Don't know what to think.
Could not get the photos I took to transfer to the computer.

"ROAD ABRASION" tag is very common on cars ordered/sold in Canada. That indicates the lower bodyside protection option, aka "road abrasion" coating. There would be an "RA" code on the other (non-DSO) buck tag to match. For SSPs with the RA option there were THREE buck tags.

Does anyone have any info on the group of 5 VIN numbers this one is part of?
Agency or where they were ordered for.
