Looking at the pictures from the link Mike posted, it is likely not a real CHP SSP vehicle.
I do not recal decals being placed over the door moldings on any mustangs.
I do not believe the molding came on those vehicles when shipped to CHP. They were shipped loose for resale purposes I believe.

Also, EVOC had a roof antenna and I think either the whip or an antenna on the trunk. Most likely he built the car for road racing to look like a CHP patrol car. Hard to say.

I'd need a lot more proof than his statements.
I think he's full of #$%& if you ask me lol

It's real John. Not all the EVOC cars were equiped the same. There are magazine articles about this car too.

The 88 EVOC and the 92 EVOC car both had full spotlight shafts, my dads 89 was the only one without full spotlight shafts. My dads car was the only one with the antenna on the back righthand quarter panel. His does not have any roof antennas either. Each EVOC SSP was equiped differently.
This 88 is a special car, as it is all original from when the CHP had it. It could have been repainted like my dads car and they specified that the door mouldings be put back on to make the car look nicer.

Ok... so we have some history here. Thats pretty cool. Good article. I still don't think it justifies the crazy price tag. Probably not straight pipes like your Dads mustangkid. The smog nazis would be all over this guy if it was staright pipes.
