Default Replacement LX Exhaust Systems

What is the closest to stock that I can get to replace the aftermarket system that is on my car?? Is it Walker? Does anyone have the part numbers? I need cat back. Mine has a 2 1/2 inch aftermarket whatever on it and the fit is horrible. I know Walker has also has the new mufflers under the Dynomax label.. however I want to get her as close to stock as I can.

Thanks..

dynomax or walker.

2 1/4 tailpipes are correct and available with stainless tips.

weld the tailpipe to the muffler like OEM

not 2 1/2 inch stuff, and no exhaust clamps to be as close to original as possible.

If you have the original ground straps, attach them to the muffler like when it was new.

I am not sure if the ground straps are even there anymore. the guy who owned it befor me changed the entire exhaust system. I had the walker "H" pipe put back on the car. He had an "X" pipe put on it and the exhaust note inside the car was terrible at 55-65 m.p.h. I had Meineke put new mufflers on it that helped that but the tail pipes look really bad on the car. Neither one is level and the are so close to the bumper cover. So I want to get them back to as close to original as possible. I also have to change the headers back as well... Uuhhgg

Can I get the ground straps??

I checked the thread.... I don't care for Flowmaster's American Thunder... I have heard some good things about Walker/Dynomax and especially the new VT Mufflers. I wouldn't mind using them with the correct tailpipes. I am not racing this car just driving it... Just have to find good tailpipes..

glad it helped...you may use the search mechanism on the forum on plug in exhaust. you may find some other threads with some additional input from others that have appeared in varoius thread that could be helpful too.
