What does the additional exterior decal say that is on the Mustang rear 1/4 panel in the pic you posted above??

Pretty cool, hold onto it. I suspect that unit is still around and was advertised several times on the Reno CL in the past year. I couldn't confirm it as the seller refused to return any my emails....

Its the "safety and Service" decal, just in an unusual spot.

It's the earlier "Safety and Service" motto, now "Safety, Service and Security." On Mustangs it first appeared on some of the '88s (then all the '89s up) and was only applied to that rather unbecoming location on that first year. Same on my car, compare it to the one also on the CV parked next to it:

More familiar motto location used for the '89-up cars:

My dad talked to the janitor at the acadamy who bought it from the CHP. He bought it for his kid who propmtly painted it bright blue and hot rodded it. Kinda sad
Kids nowadays(at my school) think that the foxes are the worst and slowest mustang model. But look at them on the EVOC track going 140 and making huge clouds of smoke, you couldn't go 140 in a stock 66 2+2 which kids think are fast. I'd choose a fox over a 60's mustang anyday(unless its a 69 SCJ 4spd Mach 1, rode in my dads friends and it was freakin fast!).

Check...the car for sale in Reno was painted blue. Mods looked
like they were limited to bolt-ons.

Nice pics ! Pardon my lack of knowledge on the CHPs for a moment. In the 2nd photo just added are those SSPs following repaints (to the various colors that are not b&w). I like that pic.
