You may want to also run an Autocheck report. I had a carfax on an old car of mine that had one accident listed. Ran an autocheck, one or two more accidents came up. I think there was also additional registration entries too. So the autocheck may fill in some of the gaps.

I agree....it's not always 100% accurate with crash info, but I've never seen a title/registration error. The car was registered in Gainesville.

Like I already told you, it is NOT a Gainesville PD car.

There is a possibility that it was an unmarked with the Alachua Co Sheriff's office, but it's a slim one.

thanks for closing the gap. I had no idea you used to live in Florida.. So you aren't familiar with this SSP at all? Such as seeing unmarked SSP in the area of Marion co between Gainesville to Ocala etc? I know a guy who lives there said that SSP is familiar and he recall one that patrols around was dark blue.. he's a mechanic at school bus garage in that area. Also a black SSP that goes to dragway to race back then.

No. The Sheriff's office bought several marked and unmarked ones, but I don't remember a blue one. The last one that they sold that Riley's buddy Mark got had been sitting back there for awhile after they moved into their new building and was missing a few parts. I didn't even know they had it (it was grey), so it's possible they had a few others that were admin-type cars. Mark W. supposedly knows the fleet guy up there, who helped him with the '91 Crown Vic resto (which is probably missing a lightbar), so you might try asking them.

Looking at your Carfax again, though, it looks like it was involved in a crash before it was even titled.
