Thanks for the pics I'm glad that one was saved. Someone needs to save the other one. Even if someone bought it and sold it someone else that wanted to fix it, that would be good.

The cars would have one heck of a story once restored

You don't see stuff like this everyday...

The problem is that the 2nd car, an automatic, has a tweak in the door frame. Maybe a frame machine could pull it straight, but it's never going to be "right" again. But, I'd be ecstatic to see someone save it regardless!

Was this including the coil or was it the whip portion of the antenna by itself? This length would make this in the 126 mHz range which is in the Aviation band.
