SSP’s never in service - questions
Was it possible for a civilian to order an SSP when they were new - or did the buyer have to have an approved Fleet PO in order to buy new?
How rare is it for an SSP as such to be out in the wild compared to their Fleet counterparts? If an SSP was never in-service, would the BUC tags only have the “DSO Police” on them instead of an actual municipality name or actual DSO? For SSP’s that were not placed into in-service use, did they also come with the blue silicone cooling hoses or just standard black cooling hoses?

It definitely happened. They came with whatever options were ordered (no difference on a never in-service car).
