Delete or not delete smog pump
The smog pump is locked up on my 89. The p.o. put a short belt on it to bypass the pump and also, it appears that he either cut the pipe that goes the exhaust. I don't know whether to pull it all off or repair it.

Are you looking to restore the car or just maintain it? If you ever see yourself eventually going the restoration route, then you should do it once and do it right while you have the chance.

Currently I am in the same boat. I say keep it and put it back into original condition. At least you have most the parts you need.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to go ahead and replace it. I'd rather keep it as original as I can

Has anybody tried to rebuild a smog pump before? I wonder what would go into it? |
