Barrett-Jackson - Scottsdale
Making plans to attend the Barrett-Jackson car auction
We have been going since 1975 and have seen the different marks ignored by the collectors and then all of a sudden they are the hottest thing going? TV shows and the internet have allot to do with recognition by others of the cars YOU already knew to be (The One) I remember a year ago when we drove the SSP to a local car show and a kid came over to me and asked. Is this the car that was on Jay Lenno's Garage? not having cable or satellite TV i had no idea what he was talking about? so i had to Google it to see what He was talking about! When a fully marked SSP comes up on the stage at BJ and the car is described and explained by an announcer wearing a tux and some cable channel network broadcasts it than Maby....just Maybe we will not have to explain to the public at car shows why this V8 coupe Mustang with 4 lug wheels was at one time an in service police car! TV the internet! how did we learn about these things in the past Oh that's right! Hemmings motor news and word of mouth!

Bill...Thanks for asking
As i said earlier We have been to the Barrett Jackson Auction every year since 1975. Have never Missed One! I am older them most people think and have seen allot in my lifetime. I don't fly anymore because i have been most everywhere i want to be and have seen every thing i wanted to see and i like to take my shoes off at home and not on some dirty carpet at the airport. Now with that said can you imagine having to have your Bag searched and having to raise your arms in the air to be searched to enter a car show! I will venture a guess that the people from the East or West coast NY & LA or some other third world country are familiar with this drill but i am NOT. Here Again the actions of a few have changed the way we now have to do things. I was at the Auction with some guests we had invited or i would have turned around and headed for home. as i said earlier we have been to the event every year since 1975 and i am accustom to posting pictures i have taken but this year is different. This year this is the only picture i had taken I usually take a picture of the Weird, Unique, out of place or Interesting and this photo is all of that!

I am glad they search people at such a large event. It is just a matter of time till some wackabilly Islamic douche tries to kill a bunch of people at an event like this. The best part is if you don't want to be searched you can simply not go. I don't like to fly either....not because the TSA offends me though. I think they should let anyone fly without being searched but all THOSE people ride the same plane. My main reason for not wanting to fly is when that 40 year old 20 million fly miles plane falls apart.....I can't just get out and walk......
